To fix the “stuff” in front of the curtain, we need to resolve the “stuff” behind the curtain too

In mental health work, I often see folks young and old, with the core issue of “shame”, leading to fear and anxiety, which then manifest as dysfunctional fight or flight responses.

Fight or flight responses are quite destructive in the context of relationships unfortunately.

To fix the fight, flight, and anxiety, we may have to resolve the “hidden shame” behind it all.

Often, for us to effectively fix the “stuff” in front of the curtain, we need to resolve the “stuff” behind the curtain too.
